Cars

Tamiya M05

Any Tamiya plastic chassis car including the M05, TT01E, grasshopper etc

The TAO7 is not allowed to race in this class.

Motors

2wd cars – maximum motor limit of a team powers iconic cup or other sealed brushed motor up to this limit, for example tamiya sport tuned

4wd cars – maximum motor limit of 25t tamiya torque tuned

No rebuildable brushed or brushless motors, or the motor you have in the toolbox that you though was a 20t 20 years ago but is really a 15t please.

Timing of the motor must be in the original position. Any found to have been moved will be required to be replaced.

Tyres

Any commercially available rubber tyre

Bodyshells

Must be realistic looking bodies which suit the chassis. If you have any queries ask before you buy.

Upgrades

The following upgrades are allowed:

  • Driveshafts
  • Shocks
  • Bearings
  • Ball cups
  • Any other non speed enhancing hop-ups, ie alloy hubs for strength and bling, again, any queries ask before you buy.

Speed controllers

Hobbywing 1060 or Tamiya kit speedo

Batteries

2 cell Lipo with a maximum voltage of 8.4v or 6 cell nimh

After the first 3 rounds we will be imposing performance restrictions to the championship leaders to keep things even.
